Description
This postcard shows The Livery Stable then located on 1 Franklin Street in Biddeford. The livery stable was owned and operated by Mr. William Cosgrove in the early 1890s. Horses were groomed and stabled by Mr. Cosgrove, and he was also an undertaker. The sign on the small shed reads "Dr. Lesure's Horse Remedies" located at the end of the street. The Cosgrove family were undertakers until the 1980s
