Description

Lt. John P. Sheahan of the 31st Maine Infantry, being held prisoner at Richland Prison (Camp Sorgum) in Columbia, South Carolina, wrote to his father in Dennysville, asking him to send money through a Maine sailor who could deliver it to young Sheahan in prison.
