Description
Letter written by Claude L. Bonsey, President of the Surry School District responding to Mr. Harry G. Carter of Surry, Maine regarding the issue of a flag staff at the new elementary school on the North Bend Road. In a prior letter dated September 5, 1952 Mr. Carter expressed his dislike of the placement of a weathervane on the top of the flag staff at the new elementary school. Mr. Bonsey's letter to Mr. Carter accuses him of lacking education and intelligence to properly comprehend the facts. Mr. Bonsey indicates that Mr. Carter's lack of intelligence was not of his own making as opportunities to become educated when he was young were not present.
