Description
Main Street in Richmond is unpaved in this photograph, and no telegraph wires are present.
At left is the H. Mansir store, which sold books, stationery, paper hangings and sewing machines. Herbert Mansir (1855-1942) also published the postcard.
This photograph is part of the Wittemann collection which is a large set of photographs taken by members of the Wittemann family and made into postcards and sold in batches to businesses in Maine.
