Description
This 71-foot high dam and powerhouse are on the Union River in Ellsworth. Notice how the photograph has been 'touched up.' This technique was used on photographs during this early 20th century period to make the photograph appear more detailed. Sometimes artists and photographers would actually change what the image contained, causing confusion to present-day historians.
