Description
The caption reads, "Lithgow Library, Augusta, Maine." The Library was built with a financial gift from Llewellyn Lithgow, an Augusta merchant, and Andrew Carnegie in 1896. The building stone used was gray Norridgewock granite, locally quarried.
The Tichnor Brothers printing company published this type of postcard circa 1930-1945.
