Description
The caption reads, "Peirce Memorial, Bangor, Maine." This memorial says, "Presented to the City of Bangor by Luther H. Peirce erected MCMXXV Memorial." This bronze statue honors river drivers and is also known as "The Last Drive." It was created by Bangor sculptor Charles Tefft in 1925. Luther H. Peirce was a lumber baron and his decendants donated this memorial.
The Tichnor Brothers printing company published this type of postcard circa 1930-1945.
