Description
The caption reads, "Bangor High School and library, Bangor, Maine." These two buildings are located on Harlowe St. and were designed by the Boston architects Peabody and Stearns. The original wooden high school burned in 1911 as well as the library building, and these two new stone structures were rebuilt and opened in 1913.
The Tichnor Brothers printing company published this type of postcard circa 1930-1945.
