Description
A Tichnor Brothers postcard from around 1935. This view shows the Farrar Furniture Company on the left and Freese's Department Store on the right. Started by A. Langdon Freese in 1892, the large department store sold men's apparel and wedding dresses, among other things. Despite its earlier popularity, the store went out of business in 1985.
The caption reads, "Main Street, Bangor, Maine."
