The caption on this postcard reads, "Frenchman's Bay and Bar Harbor, from Cadillac Mountain., Acadia National Park, Mount Desert Island, Me." Frenchman Bay is a bay in Hancock County named for Samuel de Champlain, the French explorer who visited the area in 1604.
The Tichnor Brothers printing company published this type of postcard circa 1930-1945.
