Description
Portland architect, John Calvin Stevens, designed and built Biddeford's City Hall in 1895-1896.
Upon completion, the City Hall complex included stores, the post office, government offices and an opera hall. The building also housed a public library.
City Hall gained National Register of Historic Places status in 1973 and as of 2014, continues to house Biddeford's City Theater.
