Description

W.H. Reed founded the Oak Grove Hotel in 1894. By 1915 the hotel had 150 guest rooms. At the time this postcard was created the four and five masted schooners were docked in the harbor, no longer used as sailing vessels. The hotel was torn down in 1965.

The Tichnor Brothers printing company published this type of postcard circa 1930-1945.
