Description
The caption reads, "Boothbay Harbor Yacht Club, Boothbay Harbor, Me." The club began in 1895 renting space in a building owned by Eliphalet Tibbetts. Yachts clubs traditionally provided mooring space for visiting boats, instruction in sailing, sponsorship of regattas and racing, and mooring space of local boat owners.
The Tichnor Brothers printing company published this type of postcard circa 1930-1945.
