Description
Freeport architect W.S. Aldrich designed the First Parish Congregational Church in Freeport in 1895 to replace the previous church, which was destroyed by fire. The earlier church was located on the present site of the L.L. Bean store on Main Street.
The building later became known as the Freeport First Parish Church Congregational United Church of Christ.
