Description
The caption reads, "Yacht Seven Seas leaving Northeast Harbor, Maine." Originally built in 1912 for the Swedish Navy as a training ship, it was bought by William S. Gubelmann of New York and used as a racing yacht for a short time.
Not actually a "yacht" as this postcard title indicates, the Seven Seas was considered a full-rigged ship.
The Tichnor Brothers printing company published this type of postcard circa 1930-1945.
