Description
Second Lieutenant Horace M. Wing wrote to Charles Bridges, a Castine native who was quartermaster of the 80th United States Colored Troops, about various business matters.
He then wrote "Everything is lovely here with the exception of Paymasters and they are below par. No money in any Dept."
Wing signed the letter with his various military titles and finished with "Grand Duke of the Northumberland Indians."
