Description
First Lieutenant and Adjutant Charles C. Hodsdon of the 80th United States Colored Troops wrote to Lt. Charles Bridges, a Castine native who was the regiment's quartermaster, that "Tim's pets" had been relieved from duty in the southern directorate of Louisiana.
He also mentioned two other officers whose resignation had been approved, Josiah H. Sturtevant and Harmon.
