Description

This is considered the earliest photograph of Norway village, and the photographer is thought to be Addison Verrill, a naturalist and professor at Yale University. The photograph was taken from the north side of Pike's Hill, according to author Rev. Don L. McAllister in the book, "Bound by memories' ties: A pictorial History of Norway, Maine."
