Description
Sawmill beside the Kezar River in Lovell Village, ca. 1900.
"John Wood, the son of the original proprietor, built and ran the first mills on the Kezar River in 1826. The original dam was constructed of huge hemlock logs that lasted almost one hundred years."
The sawmill was on the west bank below the dam. A gristmill was on the east side and a carding mill further down the river.
