Description
The Taconnet Baseball Team posing in front of the east wing of the Taconnet Clubhouse. The "Taconnets'" were still an active baseball team well into the mid 1940s. The clubhouse was built by Hollingsworth & Whitney Paper Co. in 1902 as a recreational & entertainment facility for workers and their families. Mill workers frequently formed amateur sports team to compete with other intra-mill teams and outside teams.
