Description
Members of one of the Hollingsworth & Whitney mill bowling teams of Winslow are shown with their trophies.
The only identified member is Thomas Henderson, on the far right. He was an employee of H & W and lived on Mohegan Street in Winslow.
The trophies bear the name of Elm City Bowling and team's Hollingsworth & Whitney affiliation. Elm City Bowling Lanes was located in Waterville. Teams representing different companies were involved in league bowling competition.
There were also many different bowling teams formed within the mill that were involved in intra-mill competition at the bowling lanes in the Taconnet Clubhouse in Winslow.
