Description
James Joyce II (1793-1873) was born on Deer Isle and died at age 70 on Swan's Island. He was a deacon. He and his wife Jane Stinson (1800-1872) had 13 children.
James II was the son of James Joyce I, who went to Swan’s Island to mackerel fish in 1806. Joyce previously lived in Deer Isle as well as in St. Andrews, New Brunswick. He was born on May 16, 1757 in Marshfield, Massachusetts. He died on 23 June 1833 at the age of 76 in Swan's Island.
