This picture shows the Forest Paper Co. mill in full production mode with poplar mountains to its left and the Royal river to its right.
Charles Gustavus Gooding, a native of Yarmouth, took the photo.
Gooding, born in 1834, made a reputation as a talented photographer by 1861. He specialized in all types of photography, including landscapes.
