Description
William Haley writes to his wife in Sebago that Jefferson Davis has been captured. "They was captured in Georgy. Bully for that."
He describes recent camps events, including a visit by General Sheridan and he looks forward to a grand review with the whole army on the Bull Run Battlefield in a few days and hopes he can see it.
He writes of his hopes to come home as soon as the review is over so he can help hoe the potatoes. He mentions confusion with his mail—his letters go to the 3rd Brigade instead of the 3rd Brigade Ambulance.
