Pike House, Lubec, 1975, 1975

Description

This house at 36 School Street proudly bears large date numerals 1849. That year Harold Harmon built the house, later selling it to Horace Hamilton who married Mary Harmon. Here they raised two children, Horace Jr. and Henry. Alger Pike of Lubec and Ann Crane Pike, from Whiting, bought and restored the house in 1937, still living here with their children, Jacob (“Jake”), Carol and Penny at the time of this photograph. Ralf and Jennifer Multhopp owned the property as of 2012.
