Description
Clyde Smith (1876-1940) served in the Maine State Legislature. He died in office and his wife, Margaret Chase Smith, finished out his term.
She later went on to become U.S. Senator for the state.
Raymond Sylvester Oakes was a lawyer in Auburn and later a legislator in Maine.
