Description
An original copy of Hermann Kotzschmar's piano composition "The Leviathan March" published in 1858.
In 1856 the Leviathan, world's largest ship, was supposed to come to Portland on her maiden voyage, and all sorts of preparations were made here, but the ship never came.
Kotzschmar wrote this march for piano as a part of the anticipatory activities. The cover is a famous etching of the ship.
