Description

The caption reads, "Weary Club Bank and Beal's Tavern, Norway, Maine." The Weary Club building was built in 1927 in a Greek Revival style of salvaged lumber from Beal's Tavern. The Club's motto was, "Maker and dealers in Cedar Shavings, Social Gossip, Political Wisdom, and Yankee Philosophy."

The Tichnor Brothers printing company published this type of postcard circa 1930-1945.
