Description
The caption reads, "Greetings from Sandy Beach Camps, Oakland, Me." This advertising postcard of a camp near Oakland shows some of the recreational activities available to visitors to the camp, which is located on the shores of Messalonskee Lake. Shown here are golfing, walking, and tennis.
Messalonskee Lake is also known as Snow Pond and lies near the northernmost point of the chain of the Belgrade Lakes.
The Tichnor Brothers printing company published this type of postcard circa 1930-1945.
