Description
This detailed map of Scarborough in 1784 was copied in 1833. It includes descriptions of lots, property owners' names, roads, rivers and salt marshes. Illustrations include the Milliken family houses and the Dunstan Meeting House.
The map text reads, in part, "...Daniel Dole, Joshua Freeman..Hasty and Ebenezer Libby a committee legally chosen and duly authorized by the Supreme Judicial Court ...in order to make a true, just and legal division of said tract of land and marsh to and among the heirs and proprietors of the aforesaid land..."
