Description
Eleanor Wood joined the faculty at Farmington State Teachers College in 1947. She taught English, was chairperson of the English Department, and served as a member of the athletics committee, the concert and lecture series committee, and the campus cultural committee. Miss Wood was an avid fan of the school's athletic teams and rarely missed a game. She had a special seat at the basketball games, and was even inducted into the UMF Athletics Hall of Fame in appreciation for her years of loyal support. Miss Wood retired from the university in 1975.
