Description
The Ocean Park shuffle board courts sit at the intersection of Grand and Temple Avenues. Ocean Park’s Florida Club, a recreational organization, introduced residents and visitors to the game of shuffle board and was responsible for maintaining the seven public shuffle boards on the grounds of the Cheney Community Cottage. The club membership approved the location and pledged money for construction of the boards in 1930.
The caption reads, "Shuffleboard at Ocean Park, Maine."
The Tichnor Brothers printing company published this type of postcard circa 1938.
