Description
This is a tintype photograph of an unidentified private Maine infantry Civil War soldier. From the type of musket, U.S. Model 1842 .69 caliber, it is known that this soldier served approximately between the years 1861 and 1863. The soldier appears to be 18 to 20 years old.
