This bird's-eye view of Waterville shows the Kennebec River and the stores, churches, manufacturing facilities and houses in the main village. An index identifies major buildings and places of interest. "Colby University" is shown. The name changed from Colby "University" to Colby College in 1899.
The full title of this view is, "Birds eye view of Waterville, Kennebec Co. Maine."
