Description

Snowberry Park is a town-owned park in Scarborough near Pine Point Beach. The public access beach area has been designated Snowberry Ocean View Park in honor of the site’s former amusement park, which featured the hand carved carousel depicted in this postcard. Snowberry Park was named for local proprietors Fred Snow and Perley Berry, who operated a restaurant and gift shop by the beach in the mid-20th century.

The caption reads, "Kiddies' Amusement Center, Snowberry Park, Pine Point, Maine."

The Tichnor Brothers printing company published this type of postcard circa 1938.
