Description
A Tichnor Brothers tourist postcard shows the Portland Post Office on Forest Avenue, in the 1940s. The Post Office was built in 1933-1934. The caption of this postcard reads, "Post Office, Portland, Me."
The Tichnor Brothers Company printing company published this type of postcard from about 1930-1945. It was part of the Tichnor Brothers Maine series of postcards that they created to bolster tourism, in Maine.
