Description

A Tichnor Brothers postcard of the Longfellow House in Portland from around 1928. Completed in 1786, the house was the first in Portland to be made entirely of brick. An addition was built in 1815 and the house was given to the Maine Historical Society in 1901 by Anne Longfellow Pierce.

The caption reads, "Longfellow's Home, Portland, Maine."
