Description
Breakwater Light, or "Bug Light, was completed in 1875 and closed in 1942. The light was nicknamed "Bug Light" because it was smaller than most lighthouses. The light was restored in 2002.
The caption of the Tichnor Brothers postcard reads, "Breakwater Light, Portland Harbor at night, Portland, Maine."
