Description
A Tichnor Brothers postcard of Woodfords Corner in Portland from around 1938. Woodfords Corner began developing into a commercial area as early as the 1890s. During the first half of the 20th century, notable landmarks in the area included Don Valle's steakhouse, the Cinema Theater and a railroad station on the Maine Central Railroad line.
The caption reads, "Woodfords Corner, Portland, Maine."
