Description
A Tichnor Brothers postcard of the Columbia Hotel in Portland from around 1938. Construction on the hotel began in 1893 and was not completed until 1900 with the addition of a west wing. Designed by Francis and Edward Fassett, it was the first hotel in the Congress Street hotel boom.
The caption reads, "The Columbia Hotel, Portland, Maine."
