Description
The Community Recreation Center in Rockland, Maine was built by the WPA in 1935 as part of the federal government’s effort to provide work during the Great Depression. It later became known as the Flanagan Community Center.
The caption reads, "Community Building, Rockland, Maine."
The Tichnor Brothers printing company published this type of postcard circa 1938.
