Description
The Maine Motel is located at 606 Main Street (U.S. Route 1) in South Portland. At the time this postcard was produced, the motel had seventeen “knotty pine and modern” rooms boasting “beautyrest mattresses” and radios, amongst other amenities.
The caption reads, "Maine Motel, 3 blocks north of Jct. U.S. Rt. 1 & Maine Turnpike in S. Portland."
The Tichnor Brothers printing company published this type of postcard circa 1938.
