Description
A Tichnor Brothers postcard of Lorimer Chapel on the new Colby College campus, ca. 1945. Construction began on the chapel, also the first building on the new campus, in 1937 and was completed in 1947. The chapel was funded by a $200,000 donation from George H. Lorimer, an alumnus of Colby College and editor of the "Saturday Evening Post".
The caption reads, "Lorimer Chapel, Colby College, Waterville, Maine."
