Description
Nicola Sockbeson, also known as Nicholas Sockabasin from the Penobscot Nation served as the Tribal representative to the Maine legislature in 1907. He was the son of Dr. Joe and Tellis Sockbeson.
On the verso of this image is written another spelling to his name, "Nicholas Sockobeson rep to leg 1907."
