Description
The Deering High School track and field team, also known as "Buck's Sneaker Pushers" are photographed with their coach Buck Harvell. At the beginning of the 1926 season the team lost six of their seven varsity players due to injury, a cold, exams, leaving school, and two who chose not to run. The team had one win and two losses. In the American Legion meet they placed fourth, in the Bowdoin meet they did not place.
The team captain, Kenith Macomber is seated in the first row, second from the left.
