Description
Prize winners in the Deering Oaks playground pageant baby carriage parade are, from left, Edna Mason, Betty Van Blaruom and Edith Virginia Wright.
Edna's baby carriage is decorated as a swan. Betty pushes a rose covered carriage, and Edith is dressed as a Japanese girl pushing a Japanese doll.
The winners each received their own large doll. The event on Saturday, August 30, 1924 drew 150 children. The rest of the contestants under the age of five received a Red Riding Hood Doll.
