Description
Holland Dresser, born in 1907, started as right forward for the South Portland High School basketball team during their undefeated 1926 season.
South Portland High School was built in 1874 when the area was part of Cape Elizabeth. The athletic teams were called the "Capers." South Portland incorporated as a separate city in 1898. About 1950, South Portland High School teams became known as the "Red Riots" and Cape Elizabeth High School took the name "Capers."
