Description
Lieut. S. M. Connell, Lieut. H. I. Brunelli and Lieut. A. B. Pitts flew from Mitchells Field, N.Y. to arrive at the Old Orchard Beach airshow. On Friday, August 29 1924 the pilots arrived later than scheduled, resulting in a couple of canceled events.
The airshow lasted four days, Friday, August 29 to Monday, September 1. The show featured public inspection of the planes, passenger carrying, an auto show parade, smoke trails (army planes), aerial aerobatics and speed, altitude and bomb dropping contests.
