Description
On August 29, 1924 Lieutenant B. B. Watson flew from Mitchells Field, New York, to the Old Orchard Beach airshow. He, along with Lt. S. M. Connell, Lt. H. I. Brunelli and Lt. A. B. Pitts arrived behind schedule that Friday.
The Old Orchard Beach event was so popular hundreds of people slept on the beach and in automobiles the night before the Labor Day show. Surrounding hotels were at maximum capacity.
