Description
This eight-page pamphlet, "Compendium of Penmanship," was written and published by H. W. Shaylor of Portland. Shaylor , an artist, developed a handwriting system.
The contents include proper sitting positions, pen holding, movement practices, and materials. Shaylor produced a number of pamphlets and manuals featuring his "Shaylor System" of writing.
